Preparing for the Chicks

As a paranoid first-time-chick-mom I did my best to set up a perfect first home for the chicks. I did a ton of research in preparation for these babies! One of my favorite resources was a book called Chick Days which is basically a day-by-day guide to raising chicks. It goes over all the important milestones and it made me feel prepared for the big day.

Notes:

• Most of these items can be purchased cheaper from a store like Farm and Fleet

• I set up the brooder in a hard plastic kiddie pool with pine shavings to contain the mess
